Bryce & Zion: Adventure, Awe & Wonder

What an extraordinary adventure in the red-rock country of Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks! Our SacredSummit group immersed ourselves in a landscape that seemed designed to inspire awe and wonder. We hiked 10 miles among Zion’s towering red cliffs on our first day, followed by an incredible 14-mile day that took us from the Grotto to Scout Lookout and then into the cool waters of the Narrows, equipped with water shoes and walking sticks. At Bryce Canyon, we descended into the spectacular Queen’s Garden and Navajo trails, then traded hiking boots for e-bikes to explore more of the park at elevations approaching 8,000 feet. Surrounded by hoodoos, brilliant colors, and expansive views, it was impossible not to feel the divinity emanating from this remarkable landscape.

The adventure continued with a four-hour horseback ride through the red rocks of Losee Canyon before culminating in one of our biggest challenges of the trip: Angel’s Landing. Over five hours and eight miles, we climbed approximately 1,600 feet, navigating steep inclines, scrambling over rocks, gripping metal chains, and occasionally using all fours—or even scooting our way down! The reward was spectacular: breathtaking views, a tremendous sense of accomplishment, and the shared experience of tackling something difficult together. From hiking and climbing to biking, horseback riding, and wading through the Narrows, these five days were about much more than miles traveled. They were an invitation to be fully present—to experience adventure, friendship, awe, wonder, and the sacred beauty of the natural world. Check out the videos below to experience our adventure!
