Stillness Ceremony: A Time for Reflection
Join us for our final Stillness Ceremony of 2026, a special evening dedicated to reflection, introspection, and honoring the experiences that have shaped our year.
Using SacredSummit's Emanation Cards as inspiration, we'll explore meaningful insights and create space for personal contemplation.
Don't have a deck? No problem! Cards will be available for purchase directly from Sherrilene, but owning a deck is not required to participate.

November 21 | 1:30pm | The Trail Within: Book Reading, Signing & Appalachian Trail Experience

Following the enthusiastic response to Sherrilene Classen's new book, The Trail Within: A Solo Journey on the Appalachian Trail, we're delighted to announce another special book reading and signing event where Sherrilene will sign your copy of The Trail Within!
Join us for an inspiring gathering featuring stories from the trail, personal reflections, and a unique behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to hike the Appalachian Trail.
Special Feature: Appalachian Trail Gear & Training Demonstration
Sherrilene will present a 45-minute interactive show-and-tell featuring the actual equipment and gear she used on the Appalachian Trail. Discover essential hiking equipment, preparation strategies, and training techniques, followed by an opportunity to ask questions.
Whether you're an experienced hiker, dreaming of your first long-distance adventure, or simply curious about Sherrilene's transformative journey, this event promises something for everyone.

Please park in the Turkey Creek Golf Club parking area at 11400 Turkey Creek Blvd., Alachua, FL 32615, and proceed to the Pool Clubhouse located near the swimming pool. Please note that the event is NOT being held in the Golf Clubhouse.

November 26 | Thanksgiving Day Hike
12 Miles of Gratitude, Nature & Adventure
Start your Thanksgiving with fresh air, beautiful scenery, and a healthy dose of adventure!
Join us as we explore an exciting trail system in Jennings State Forest, approximately one hour north of Gainesville. Our route will incorporate the Pioneer, Dunn's Farm, Crosscut, and Sawyer trails.
We'll gather at the Turkey Creek Golf Course at 7:30 AM, arrive at the trail around 8:30 AM, and enjoy a 12-mile out-and-back hike through the natural beauty of North Florida.
We anticipate finishing around 12:30 PM and returning to Gainesville by approximately 1:30 PM, leaving plenty of time to enjoy your Thanksgiving festivities.
Important details:
• Dogs are welcome but must remain on leashes no longer than 10 feet. • Forest entry fee is $2 per vehicle. • Carpooling opportunities will be coordinated.

November 27 | Post-Thanksgiving Hike
Levy Loop – 6 Miles
After the Thanksgiving festivities, reconnect with nature and enjoy some refreshing outdoor activity!
Join us for a beautiful 6-mile hike along Levy Loop. Visiting family members and friends are welcome, making this a wonderful way to extend the holiday together.
Please note: Dogs are not permitted on this hike.
Bring your walking shoes, your holiday guests, and your sense of adventure!

Full Moon Walk & Candle Ceremony – Turkey Creek
Celebrate the beauty of the season beneath the celestial glow of the December moon.
Join us for a peaceful 5-mile walk through Turkey Creek as we reflect on our connection with nature, the universe, and one another.
We'll conclude our evening with a beautiful candle ceremony, bringing warmth, light, and intention to the holiday season.
It's a wonderful opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and celebrate the season with your SacredSummit community.
December 31 | 6:00 PM
New Year's Eve Fire Ceremony: Release, Renew & Reimagine
End 2026 with intention and welcome 2027 with an open heart.
Join Sherrilene and Nancy as they share a cherished personal tradition: a meaningful fire ceremony focused on releasing what no longer serves us, letting go of the need to control every outcome, and setting intentions for the year ahead.
Through reflection and the symbolism of fire, we'll create space for new possibilities, personal growth, and renewed purpose.
Cost: $10 per person, including hot cocoa and cookies.
The gathering address will be provided upon registration.

Our Saturday morning walking calendar is filled with exciting opportunities through the end of January 2027!
Each week, we'll explore beautiful trails while building endurance, improving fitness, and enjoying the camaraderie of our SacredSummit walking community.
With hikes ranging from 8 to 10 miles, these walks offer an excellent opportunity to challenge yourself, establish healthy habits, and prepare for future adventures.
Whether you're training for a major hiking experience or simply want to stay active and connected, there's a place for you!

January 2027
January 30 | Mammoth March Northeast Florida
20 Miles. One Incredible Challenge. Unlimited Personal Potential.
Are you ready to discover what you're truly capable of?
Join Sherrilene and fellow SacredSummit adventurers as we take on the MammothMarch Northeast Florida, an organized 20-mile endurance hiking event!
At least eight members of our SacredSummit community are already planning to participate, and we'd love for you to join us!
This experience is about much more than walking 20 miles. It's about perseverance, mental resilience, physical endurance, and discovering the strength that lies within you.
Event Location: Dunns Creek State Park, Main Entrance, 320 Sisco Road, Pomona Park, FL 32181
MammothMarch Registration: $100 per person, paid directly to the event organizers. Participants must register separately through the official MammothMarch Northeast Florida website.

Want to tackle the MammothMarch with confidence? Join Sherrilene for a special virtual training and preparation session designed to help you get ready for this exciting endurance challenge!
Whether you're a seasoned hiker or preparing for your first long-distance event, you'll gain valuable insights into:

Practical tips for successfully completing a 20-mile hike
SacredSummit Training Session Fee: $10 per person
This $10 fee covers participation in Sherrilene's November 25 Google Meet training and preparation session only. It does not include registration for the MammothMarch event itself.
Registration Deadline: November 20, 2026
Register through SacredSummit to reserve your place in the training session. Registered participants will receive the Google Meet link and additional details before the meeting.
Two Separate Registrations:
SacredSummit Training Session – $10: Register through SacredSummit for the November 25 Google Meet session.
MammothMarch Event – $100: Register and pay directly through the official MammothMarch website to participate in the January 30 walk.
