From Sherrilene's Desk and Heart

As summer begins to give way to fall, we find ourselves reflecting on another season filled with adventure, personal growth, and meaningful connection. Together, we shared an unforgettable Appalachian Trail adventure with an incredible group of women, and I continued the Appalachian Trail journey with a challenging solo trek—an experience that brought new insights, resilience, and inspiration.

As always, Sacred Summit continues to offer opportunities to nourish both body and spirit. Starting again in August, we invite you to join us for our local hikes, Full Moon Walks, Stillness Ceremonies, and other community gatherings, or consider stepping into one of our extraordinary travel adventures. (See our calendar for a full list of activities.) Whether you dream of exploring the breathtaking landscapes of North Georgia, trekking through the majestic Swiss Alps, or joining us on one of our future journeys, there is something waiting to inspire every adventurer. And don't forget that Women-In-Power 2 starts on August 4th! Register today for this important and inspiring program.

Appalachian Trail

Solo Trek: Reflections from Day 1

One hundred and twenty miles of trekking, 70 of those solo, cumulative ascent of 21,706 ft and a daily average calorie burn of 2,700 - are the stats that are defining my two-week trek on the Appalachian Trail. And although these are very logical and left-brain stats, they do not capture the incredible embodied experiences, creative inspirations, and life lessons that I have learned, again, on my beloved Appalachian Trail.  This time I hiked from Wilbur dam south of the Tennessee/Virginia border all the way to Atkins, Virginia. The trial was tough, rough, overgrown and arduous to walk, to hike, to trek and to climb. As I'm integrating the experiences and making meaning of traversing this section of the trial- I plan to share experiences via my reflections – the first of which I'm doing today. Read more.....

Group Trek Reflections, Appalachian Trail, 46 miles

by Kabita G, Washington, DC

We wrapped up our AT season with more than 46 miles over four unforgettable days. Every mile brought its own challenges, long climbs, uphills, rocky paths, sunshine, rain, and the constant reminder that nature is both beautiful and humbling. I never imagined hiking 14 miles in a single day, yet this journey showed me that we are capable of far more than we believe.

Beyond the miles, this experience was about so much more. It was about old friendships that grew stronger, new friendships that blossomed, the strength of womanhood, shared laughter, quiet conversations, and finding joy in nature. It was about encouraging one another, celebrating every summit and every step, and discovering that the journey is always richer when shared.

As we walked through forests filled with rhododendrons, crossed streams, close encounters of wildlife and passed signs reminding us that we were in bear country, I was reminded to stay present, respect nature, and appreciate its wild beauty.

My heart is full of gratitude to many things, to the Appalachian Trail, to the breathtaking landscapes of Tennessee and Virginia, and especially to Sherrilene and the four other incredible women for memorable adventure. Thank you for every laugh, your sense of humor, kindness, every word of encouragement, and every shared mile.

Forty-six miles later, I leave the trail a little stronger, a little more grateful, and already looking forward to the next adventure.

Until next season, Appalachian Trail thank you!

Women-In-Power Program 2

Classes Start Soon!
Book Before August 4th!

We had an excellent Women-In-Power Booster Session, the last one of four last night (06/23/2026), and I am sure those in attendance will wholeheartedly agree that the discussion and realizations were incredible. One participant mentioned that they experienced an “epiphany” during the session. How wonderful!  Truly, how fascinating to experience how the Gene Keys are unlocking knowledge of transformation when prioritizing time to contemplate the meaning of our shadows, gifts, siddhis, lines and pathways.

So, the Activation sequence was all about you! About your Life's Work, your Evolution, your Radiance, and your Purpose. This was an opportunity to experience how you show up, amidst your shadows to realize, reveal, and engage with your Genius. This was an opening to understanding that your work (or behavior) is more about undoing – breaking the addictions, stop escaping, not giving in to distractions or interferences, stop playing small, stop being "deaf", avoid the chaos that immobilizes you, or recognize the superficial or chaotic or half-hearted actions. How incredible to become aware of, engage with, and then accept the shadow through contemplation and pausing. The integration –  where your shadows unlock the gifts, is the next step so you can recognize, celebrate and share your unique gifts to better serve yourself and the world.

Now we are transitioning to the Venus Sequence—and how beautiful she is. It is all about the heart, about LOVE, about how you show up in relationships and again identifying the shadows that are stifling you, the core wound that is making you defensive, and the incredible opportunity to strengthen the quality of all relationships if you take the time to feel into these issues. I am excited to engage with all of you who have already registered—and really want to invite the rest of you to consider doing so now.

Note: For the folks who have already registered, I will send you two fascinating videos (An Intro to the Venus Sequence and the Codes of Chemistry) to watch. If you have not registered yet, make use of this invitation to do so—and to be on a discovery of what inhibits and what empowers your relationships.

For the Venus Sequence, you can download the brochure here and register by clicking here.  If you need to talk with me in person, happy to do so!

With blessings and a sincere desire that all of us will live life to the fullest!
